Community collection points
Agree suitable storage, accepted materials, site responsibility and the collection arrangement.

Communities, districts & assemblies
Bring residents, collectors, institutions and sponsors together around a practical recycling program. Start with a defined area and build a routine people can use.
For residents & local leaders
A community program needs an accessible collection point, simple instructions and a dependable arrangement. GWVP welcomes enquiries from estate managers, resident associations, churches, assembly representatives and district teams.
Bring GWVP to my community ↗Agree suitable storage, accepted materials, site responsibility and the collection arrangement.
Define the neighbourhoods, institutions, local collectors and sponsor support for a manageable pilot before expanding.
Recruit adult collection workers or help independent collectors build routes supplying GWVP on agreed commercial terms.
District collection and recovery reporting
Government’s September 2025 sanitation announcement combines cleanup, waste segregation, recycling and monthly assembly reporting. GAYO’s March 2026 partnership with La Nkwantanang-Madina also demonstrates a municipal route to a material recovery facility.
GWVP welcomes discussions with assemblies about defined collection areas, institution onboarding, adult collector participation, sponsored equipment and monthly material records. We begin with an agreed scope, funded responsibilities and a destination plan for each material stream.
Connect homes, schools and businesses to collection points and recurring routes. Reducing discarded plastics supports drainage protection alongside municipal cleaning and infrastructure work.
Develop paid collection and yard roles, or independent routes supplying GWVP. Agree training, equipment and commercial terms with adult participants.
Record recovered weights, collections, destinations and participation. Reporting is based on measured operations, with outstanding material and rejects shown separately.

Discuss a scoped district program ↗Youth employment & enterprise
Ghana’s youth employment challenge makes practical routes into paid work and small business important. We want recycling programs to create useful collection, sorting and equipment-operation opportunities—not only awareness.
A district pilot can combine a sponsor-funded collection vehicle, an adult operator, local collection points, training and a GWVP supply agreement. Jobs and equipment are tied to a funded operating plan, rather than promised before resources exist.

Community action
Discuss a focused cleanup or recycling day with residents, schools, churches or corporate volunteers. A useful event connects to an ongoing collection point and a plan for the material recovered.
Plan a community action day ↗The area, participant responsibilities, equipment, supervision, collection vehicle, sorting and residual-waste disposal. Event costs and sponsor support are agreed before launch.
We record recovered material and celebrate participating communities with their permission. Activities involving students need school-led supervision; paid recruitment is for adults.
